Our History
Next Step Dance Studio has a rich history that spans back many years, with roots firmly planted in the community. Many of our dancers, teachers, staff and parents all began their love for dance at Mauri’s School of Dance in Burnsville.
For 50 years, Maureen McDaniels Boerboon, the beloved owner of Mauri's School of Dance, shared not only her expertise but also her love of dance with so many. Her retirement after five decades was bittersweet, but her legacy lives on through our new Dance Studio.
Our new owner, who both worked and danced at Mauri's School of Dance, was inspired to continue the legacy by opening Next Step Dance Studio. We are proud to carry on the tradition of dance excellence in our community, and we invite you to join us in celebrating the joy of dance.
