About Next Step Dance Studio

At Next Step Dance Studio we have certain policies in place regarding attendance and punctuality to ensure a smooth and productive learning environment for all students.  Please take note of the following guidelines:

• Notification of Absence:  If a student is unable to attend a dance class for any reason, we kindly request that you call the Studio and inform us. Please leave a message on the voice mail stating the student's name, the class they will be missing, and the reason for their absence. This allows us to keep track of attendance records and make any necessary arrangements. 
•  Tardiness: We emphasize the importance of punctuality, as tardiness can be highly disruptive to the class and interrupt the flow of learning. We understand that unforeseen complications may arise occasionally, but we request that you make every effort to ensure tardiness is not a regular occurrence 
• Importance of Consistent Attendance: Regular and consistent attendance is crucial for your child to make progress in their dance education. Each class builds upon the previous one, and missing too many sessions can lead to frustration and a loss of skills already learned. By attending every week, your child will have the opportunity to master the skills and combinations being taught at their level.

• Full tuition is due on your first lesson of each month
• There is a $20 late fee if your monthly tuition is not paid by the 10th of each month
• There will be a $30.00 charge for all returned checks
• There are no refunds for lessons missed by a student, scheduled vacations or lessons cancelled due to inclement weather.
• We offer automatic monthly tuition withdrawal from debit cards and credit cards (extra  processing fee charged for payment via credit cards).

Given the unpredictable nature of Minnesota weather in winter, Next Step Dance understands the need to make informed decisions regarding class cancellations. We will rely on the most accurate information available to determine whether classes should be canceled. In alignment with this, Next Step will also adhere to the closures of the Lakeville School District and after-school activities. By doing so, they aim to prioritize the safety and well-being of their students and staff. 

Rehearsal/Recital Fee or Fundraiser: $70.00 per family is due April 1, 2025, unless you decide to participate the fundraiser. *Includes digital recording of the Recital and a Recital T-shirt for your dancer(s).

We encourage parents to come and watch their Childs' dance class during our regularly scheduled observation weeks.

• If your child is 6 and under you must escort them to the waiting room outside of their studio.  For older children you may drop them off but watch them enter the building.
• Please utilize the restroom prior to dance class.
• Do not park in front of the building.
